Requis
Data Center Build

Equipment for Data Center Construction

Transformers, power cable and electrical distribution equipment for data center builds - listed with full nameplate specifications and ready to ship, while the factory queue runs years long.

The building is not the bottleneck. The gear is.

Shell, slab and steel move at construction speed. Electrical distribution equipment does not. Large power transformers are quoted in years rather than weeks, and medium-voltage switchgear backlogs now stretch past the date most projects intend to be energised. Sites get permitted, financed and largely built, then stand idle waiting on a transformer.

The surplus market is the release valve. Equipment that was over-ordered, cancelled, or freed up by a decommissioned facility is already manufactured, already tested, and already in a yard - it only needs to be found. Requis exists to make that inventory searchable by specification instead of by phone call.

Why buyers look here first

  • Units that exist today, not a place in a build queue
  • Full nameplate data on the listing, so a spec match is verifiable before a call
  • Sellers are operators and EPCs clearing real projects
  • Offers and negotiation happen in the platform, with an audit trail

What the marketplace carries

Transformers

The deepest category on the platform. Padmount and pad-mount step-up units, unit substations, dry-type and cast-resin transformers, autotransformers, isolation and control transformers, reactors and harmonic filters - listed with kVA rating, primary and secondary voltage, cooling class and winding material. Most of it steps medium voltage down to the 480Y/277 V and 208Y/120 V secondaries a data hall actually runs on.

Power and instrumentation cable

Medium- and low-voltage power cable for feeder and branch runs, plus instrumentation and control cable for BMS, EPMS and fire systems. Sized from 16 AWG and 1.5 mm² up to 800 mm², with reel and total lot weight calculated for you so logistics can be planned from the listing.

Unused and new-in-crate

A large share of this inventory was never energised. It was over-ordered against a project that changed, and it has sat in a yard ever since - factory-new equipment with none of the factory wait. Filter to unused and new stock only.

Not listed yet? Ask for it.

Generators, UPS, switchgear, chillers and CRAC units move through the network without always sitting on the public marketplace. Tell us the specification and the need-by date, and our team sources against it.

Search the way an electrical engineer specifies

Surplus is usually sold by phone call and PDF list. Every listing on Requis is structured, so the nameplate fields are filters rather than prose you have to read through.

Clearing a site, or sitting on over-ordered gear?

Data center programmes over-order on purpose, because a spare transformer is cheaper than a stalled hall. What is left at the end - along with everything freed up by a decommissioned or refitted facility - is exactly what the next project is hunting for.

Requis lists it where those buyers are already searching. Bot to Lot turns an asset register, a CSV or a folder of site photos into structured listings without anyone filling in forms, and Valuation as a Service prices it against comparable sales before you commit to a number.

Sourcing for a build with a date on it?

Send us the electrical schedule. Our team works the specification against live inventory and the wider network, and comes back with what is genuinely available against your need-by date.
